Who am I ?

img_4785lux

i am.
a jeans and flip flops kind of girl
laid back and relaxed
a mom times four

i love.
long, lazy Saturdays
the smell of sunscreen on my kids sandy shoulders
napping through afternoon thunderstorms
perfect and imperfect pigtails alike
smashbox lipgloss
good books, better music, best friends
argyle socks and polka dots
new crayons
(and yes, I’d spend all my money in anthropologie if I could)

i can’t live without.
starbucks lattes and blueberry scones
my little girl’s sloppy kisses planted on my cheek
my iphone
my son’s proclamation that i am his best friend
dr. pepper
the sound of giggles floating down the stairs
true religion jeans

Why did I become a photographer?

Simple . . . my kids. I felt compelled to capture every second of their childhood, from the snaggle-tooth grins to the way a single, perfect curl would hang down over my daughter’s eyes. I wanted to remember the tear on her cheek after her first fall, the sprinkle of freckles across the bridge of her nose, the way he laughed every time he told us that knock-knock joke . . . again. So I took pictures. Lots and lots of pictures. All in the fervent hope that I would somehow catch a bit of childhood and forever hear the laughter, the joy, the whole-hearted excitement of childhood when I looked back at the images. This intense desire turned into a passion for me, a passion that I soon began sharing with friends and family and, now, with my clients. I can’t wait to create a memory for your family–a moment that you never want to forget.
