This past Sunday I headed out to the barn with a mama and her little miss…the previous night had been rained out..so we all had our fingers crossed that the weather would cooperate..and lucky for us…it did. I had the best time capturing them..Peyton was as sweet as she is cute. By the end of the shoot..we were all covered sticky sweet with watermelon juice…and I’m sure we all had a few mosquito/ant bites as well…but we had fun..and just as we packed up..and pulled away, the sky open up..and it poured. Whew..we made it..just in time.

Ok..ok…so I’m blogging…I’m sitting here, Saturday morning..all alone, the husband took the kids to the beach for the weekend..I’m sitting. listening to THIS ..real loud, so I figured..why not blog. I’ve thought about it lots..but every time I sat down to do it..something more important came up..like..umm, internet shopping….board hopping…facebooking..or mindless chatting w/ friends..but finally..this certain SOMEONE..pushed me to do it..so, here I am…not a whole lot of anything to share…basically..like the title says…just a “bunch of random”….
What’s been going on..just this and that..summer stuff ya know..swimming, sno cones..screaming kids..we did just get back from a week at the beach..we were in Hilton Head, which was fantastic….where are the pictures you ask? Well, hmm..I just wasn’t in the mood…sometimes its nice to just sit back..and take it in..so that’s what I did…the kids loved just being…having me as mom..not the photographer…I do have some snaps..just not the normal..let’s fill up two cards in an hour kind of images.
The little ones had a birthday in the middle of June..turned four and five..and Raygan will be turning twelve next week..big day at the Springs planned..swimming and tubing..in FREEZING water..I’ll be on the sidelines..watching.
I have been taking some snaps here and there…Adler found this skateboard in the back of the garage..and wow, can we say..excited! He pulled it out..and went boardin’ …mostly belly style of course..but he thought he was…whats the word..RAD. I had my camera..didn’t make too big of a deal about it..you know him..he does not love my camera..I sat in the same spot..just taking random shots..and he seemed good with it…he tolerated it…just this once.
And of course…the Pip…we have snaps of the Pip, doing what she does 99% of the time..draw on the dry erase board..I will tell you, this is one of THE BEST gifts we have ever given them..they LOVE…and I have to admit, I do too. I have a thing for anything Crayola…crayons, markers, chalk..paint. I just dig it…anyway, here she is..taking a little break from the pool…and umm, we can thank Raygan for the “belly art” …
And, speaking of the Pip..she has a new obsession…we are talking..full blown..breathe, eat and sleep obsession..hmm..wonder where she gets that behavior from?? Anyway..she started watching the movie “Shark Boy and Lava Girl”and..let’s just say..she wants to be Lava Girl…no, scratch that..she thinks she is Lava Girl. She is forever wanting the “play” the movie..reciting it word for word..shooting lava from her hands..eating lava rocks..and she wants to drag anyone who will..right along with her..let’s just say..we are all over the Lava. She is insisting that she will be Lava Girl for Halloween, the problem..this movie came out several years ago..so a Lava Girl costume cannot be found…trust me..I looked. One day..she someone got Raygan involved in yet another round of the Lava Girl play..and she came out to me..looking like this….Lava Girl…the hair, the suit…and the most important part…the boots. This ensemble just cracks me…its part swimsuit..old winter clothes that are too small…bits-n-pieces of an old kitty costume..and then..the hair..that Raygan made for her..She loves it..she wears it..she is..LAVA GIRL.
See folks, I told you..just random…thinking, there is not much else I have to share. I have a shoot tonight, a girl and her mama out at the barn..crossing fingers that it doesn’t rain..and early next week…two tween skater chics..should be fun. We are headed out to North Carolina as well..we have a family cabin up there..the kids are SO excited…lots of river rafting, horseback riding, berry picking, hiking…stream swimming..just lots of fun stuff..
